Days of Our Lives: Will & Sonny

We resisted checking out Will and Sonny on Days for four whole hours yesterday. God help me, they're lovely! We enjoyed Freddie Smith on 902010 where he got his gay training, and the guy who plays Will Horton is adorable. We're not made of anything resembling stone here, people!

We know the gay ships usually end badly (We think hit by a train and paralyzed, and then getting your boyfriend to help you kill yourself is currently winning), but we're optimistic because both Will and Sonny are legacy characters and deeply involved with community members. Days could actually be the American soap that does it right.

CBS Daytime Presents "As The World Turns" Boot Camp, Which Comes To Life In The Form Of A Soap Opera Reality Show

This summer, eight young hopefuls go through weeks of challenges and drama at AS THE WORLD TURNS boot camp to fulfill their dreams of becoming that show's next big star. INTURN is an original web-based reality show where the ultimate prize is a 13-week contract role on the CBS Daytime drama AS THE WORLD TURNS. INTURN debuts Monday, July 17 on innertube on CBS.com.

Internet users can watch a new episode of INTURN on innertube three days a week for eight weeks. Each episode will be approximately three to five minutes long with a total of 24 episodes. The series will follow eight participants as they move into a loft in Brooklyn, N.Y. and undergo a series of challenges, such as screen tests, cold readings and awkward prop challenges that will ultimately lead to five contestants being voted out by a group of judges.

The three remaining contestants will be written into the show as "characters" on AS THE WORLD TURNS. Viewers across America will then have a chance to vote online for their favorite "character" (one of the three finalists), ultimately selecting the newest cast member on AS THE WORLD TURNS.

AS THE WORLD TURNS actors involved include Trent Dawson ("Henry Coleman"), Michael Park ("Jack Snyder"), Colleen Zenk Pinter ("Barbara Ryan"), Terri Colombino ("Katie Peretti"), Paul Leyden ("Simon Frasier"), Van Hansis ("Luke Snyder"), Alexandra Chando ("Maddie Coleman"), Zach Roerig ("Casey Hughes"), Marie Wilson ("Meg Snyder"), Ellen Dolan ("Margo Hughes"), Scott Holmes ("Tom Hughes") and Jesse Lee Soffer ("Will Munson"). They will act as judges, participate in challenges or offer advice.

Jack and Jennifer had been going through some hard times.

Their daughter Abby had been sick off and on and the cause of her illness had not yet been discovered. They were worried about that when they celebrated their anniversary unofficially at Wings, only to return home and have to rush Abby to the hospital again.

Jennifer had gone to visit her mother Laura at the sanitarium in Chicago and returned home on the real day of their anniversary. Jack, scatterbrained as ever, remembered at the last moment that it was their anniversary and rushed home. He and Jennifer celebrated a romantic evening of flowers and poetry, then they made love.

Sami shared her pain with her diary. She was terrified that Marlena's baby was really John's, but more than that, she feared that she'd make herself vomit again. Sami was suffering from bulimia, desperate to be as thin as the models in Bella magazine.

Alice's grand opening party continues with good times and high drama. Patrick tries to convince Jennifer that someone is trying to set her up, but she fervently believes that she and Jack will be reunited.

She covers regarding her plan to meet the private plane at 9PM. Lexie and Tek arrive. She is concerned about Jennifer. Does she really believe that Jack could be alive? Jennifer covers again, says she knows Jack will be with her always.

Meanwhile, Patrick and Bonnie discuss the mystery guy who could be after Jennifer. Bonnie fears her son may be in over his head. She doesn't want to lose him. But Patrick vows he will do whatever it takes to protect Jennifer and her baby. Tek tells Patrick he ran a computer check on him, with curious results. Patrick, remembering he erased information on his past, swears he has nothing to hide.

Bonnie forces Patrick to dance with Julie and Jennifer uses the distraction to slip out. She's driving to the private airfield when she's blinded by a light and it looks like she's going to crash.

Hope searches for clues about Shawn's disappearance by trying to trace the earring she found in his bedroom. Her detective work turns up a vital clue to the island mystery -- the teddy bear that was buried with Marlena! Hope can't place it, but a sixth sense tells her to buy it from a thrift shop. Will it help her unravel the mystery?

Abe and Roman search Jennifer's house on the island. They believe she will be the next "victim" to arrive. Roman is sure there must be some clue left behind in Salem that could help Bo and Hope unravel the mystery. Roman and Abe see a shadowy figure inside Jennifer's house and rush back in. They get a shock, thinking they've found the evil mastermind who's holding them all prisoner on the island!

Philip tries to get Belle to enjoy the party, but she misses Shawn. She tells Hope that she will make an announcement on television for Shawn during a NASCAR race.

Crazed Jan proposes to herself, puts a diamond ring on her finger and tells Shawn they're engaged! Shawn still loves Belle and he's determined to get back to her. Jan promises to take Shawn to Salem and prove that Belle is being unfaithful with Philip. Jan takes Shawn to the party, via Salem's cable access channel broadcasting the event. Shawn is gut punched after seeing Belle and Philip doing a very intimate and sexy dance.

Sami arrives at the party with Lucas. Kate is aghast, but Lucas says Sami's car wouldn't start so he gave her a lift. Lucas and Sami are still estranged. Kate is relieved. Lucas flirts with a sexy and successful nurse. Belle warns Sami that Lucas could fall in love with another woman and Will would have a stepmother. Sami can't let that happen. She sabotages Lucas's dalliance with the nurse. Lucas realizes what Sami has done and he's furious. He ends up dancing with two other women to retaliate.

Mimi tells Rex she's worried. Her mom's schemes always blow up in her face. Rex tells Philip to back off Belle. Kate tries to intercede with Rex, but he insists that Philip should stand back until Shawn returns.

Sharon and Nick concur that the only way to figure out what Cameron is up to is to tell Grace everything.

Nick feels certain that once Grace knows Cameron committed murder she'll help them seek revenge on him. Nick secures Michael's help. Meanwhile in Cameron's hotel suite, Grace enters and tries to seduce him, but to no avail. Frustrated, Grace wonders when their plan to torment Sharon will end and threatens to leave him. Cameron gets upset and grabs her roughly by the arm. When Cameron sees how startled Grace gets, he softens and claims their plan against Sharon is almost complete. He kisses her passionately and leaves.

At the recreation center, Lily, Sierra, Mac, and Daniel continue cleaning out the storage room. They pry open an old filing cabinet and discover an old home movie and ruby earring.

In Nikki's office, Ashley and Brad arrive, surprised to find Victor there. Ashley asks to speak with Victor alone and they exit to the boardroom. Victor wonders if Brad knows about his encounter with Abby and she reveals he does not, but will soon. Suddenly, Jack bursts in and blasts Victor for pursuing a relationship with Abby. Meanwhile, Brad asks Nikki to talk to Victor about settling for 25 million. Nikki agrees to try and mentions Victor running into Abby at the GCAC. Brad is shocked by the news and storms out furious that Ashley didn't tell him.

Raul returns to the loft and gives Brittany various scar creams and make-up to try. She thanks him for everything and gives him a tender kiss.

ATWT Jordan is on an airplane, on his way to Bermuda, when Paul suddenly plops down in the empty seat beside him, revealing that he's followed him.

Jordan is determined to find his son and Paul is equally determined to stop him. The brothers really get into it, and full-scale war is declared. Their argument gets so loud that a flight attendant has to break them up. She insists that Paul return to his own seat. Jordan gets an idea and tells the flight attendant that there's something she should know about his brother. The plane lands and Jordan makes his way off, but Paul is stopped by two police officers as he tries to follow and Paul realizes that Jordan has set him up. Later, a detained Paul and his luggage have been thoroughly searched as he continues to insist that he is not a drug dealer. Meanwhile, Rosanna and Cabot are happily ensconced in a beach house in Bermuda. Rosanna is making plans to take the baby to the beach until she gets the message from Paul that she's being followed. She frantically grabs her things and Cabot and is on her way out when Jordan arrives.

Doc sees Margo in the Lakeview Lounge and tells her that he's booked them a hotel room at the Harbor View Inn in Bay City. Margo has second thoughts, but ultimately her lust for Doc wins out and she agrees to meet him there. She's nearly sidetracked when Casey and Tom come in to meet her. She calls Jessica over and tells her about her planned rendezvous. A thunderstruck Jessica vehemently argues against it, but Margo is sure that this afternoon is all she needs to get Doc out of her system and move on. Margo leaves, and later, Tom comes in looking for Margo. Against her better judgment, Jessica covers, and then takes off. Later, a frantic Jessica arrives at the hotel, only to learn from Doc that Margo had already heard that Tom was looking for her and didn't go to the hotel. Jessica is greatly relieved, but when Doc starts going on about how disappointed he is, she loses it. She snaps and rails about her failure to get pregnant and Ben's refusal to consider in vitro. Doc comforts her and they end up in a passionate kiss!

At home, a horrified Simon finds Faux Snickers murdered. He hides the truth from Katie, who is frantic that Faux is missing from his cage. Simon goes out, under the guise of looking for the rabbit, and tracks down Pilar. He realizes that she's off her rocker with her obsession for Mike and warns her not to come near Katie or his house again. Meanwhile, Henry returns home and Katie tells him about Faux, and about her plans to move to Australia with Simon. Henry is heartbroken and questions Simon's reliability. Katie is certain that Simon will never let her down again.

DAYS Shawn, still chained in the cage, realizes the blonde he sees out in the hall is Jan in a wig. She's pretending to be Belle to convince Shawn that she now loves Philip.

Shawn catches Jan in her ruse, and swears he will never give up on Belle.

Jan nearly slips about killing Victor, but she pretends she was imagining killing off Belle. She takes her kewpie doll with a blonde wig on it and viciously breaks off its head. She vows she will prove that Belle loves Philip, and never wants to see Shawn again!

John and Kate arrive at the loft and find Belle is missing. Philip is there moving in, which pleases Kate. Belle shows up. Rex and Mimi enter to hear Belle went to get some info on an upcoming Nascar race in Salem. This is Belle's idea to get Shawn to come back to her. She asks her dad to pull strings and get her on the Nascar national TV broadcast. Belle will make an appeal to Shawn to come home. Shawn never misses a Nascar race. Alone with Belle, John agrees to help her on one condition: if Shawn doesn't come back, he wants Belle to forget him and move on with her life. Belle is convinced Shawn will return to her. She can't imagine her life without him.

Jennifer covers when Patrick finds her putting her suitcase into her car trunk. She just wants to be ready when she goes into labor. Patrick buys her excuse, but he tries to convince her that there is no way Jack is still alive. Jennifer still believes Jack's out there trying to reach her. Patrick gets a call from the mystery guy. He has sinister plans for Jennifer. Patrick vows to stop him. Patrick and Jennifer go to the party at Alice's. Patrick warns Jennifer someone may be trying to set her up!

Julie cooks fine French cuisine for the party. Bonnie spices it up, and Julie is furious. Julie allows the food to be served, convinced Bonnie will fall flat on her face. Mickey tries the food, and it is a hit. It's so spicy, the bar business booms. Alice's will be very popular. Bonnie is in hog heaven, and Julie's fit to be tied!

Mickey and Julie are concerned about Jennifer. They think she might be losing her mind.

GL Michelle begins to stir in her coma. Rick informs Bill that her movements are likely involuntary. But in her head, she's reliving the aftermath of the explosion over and over again.

As bitter Bill sits at her bedside, Danny arrives at the police station to bail out Tony. Tony disappoints Danny when he informs him that he secured his own bail, from a known mob attorney. Danny pleads with Tony to go legit, but Tony chooses a different path. He'll stay by Danny's side until Michelle is healthy, and then they'll part company.
Danny and Tony head to the hospital where they run into Bill. The tension is high and Bill tweaks Danny's guilty conscience. Bill leaves and Danny and Tony sit by Michelle's bedside. When Danny exits to call Robbie, Tony takes Michelle's hand, is stunned when she squeezes back. Michelle opens her eyes and smiles at Tony.

Olivia becomes increasingly desperate as Phillip tightens his grip on their relationship. He takes Emma for a play date with Rick and Olivia can't do much to stop him. She appeals to Beth for help by saying that she believes Phillip is more dangerous than ever. But Beth refuses to side with Olivia against the Spaulding family. Angry Olivia vows to remember Beth's unwillingness to help. Later, Olivia gets a call from Bill inviting her to his apartment and there, Bill finally admits that he's the one buying up shares of Spaulding stock.

Alex finds Gus at the police station and pressures him to let her plan his wedding saying, she owes him for protecting her. She advises him to take a page from the Spaulding book and let go of the guilt he feels for lying to Harley. Gus crosses with Beth and asks her how she's learned to accept the Spaulding way of life. Beth suggests he stop judging them and let them be a support system.

Y&R Cameron meets with Gabe, his "enforcer," and demands he find the body that was moved from behind the dumpster before his entire plan is foiled.

Cameron decides to speak with Nikki, thinking she might have information about the body's location.

Ashley and Brad agree that Nikki should be the one to negotiate a settlement with Victor. Ashley mentions she needs to discuss something important with Brad once they have discussed their plan with Nikki.

J.T. goes to Paul's office, tells Paul his music career wasn't what he was expecting and was hoping he could work for Paul again. J.T. is thrilled when Paul agrees to re-hire him, but tells J.T. he will not tolerate a vendetta against Kevin being run out of his office.

Lily offers Devon friendship and admits she knows he lives in a group home. Devon snaps at Lily and warns her to stay out of his personal business.

Victor informs Nikki about his encounter with Abby, who didn't seem fragile or traumatized to see him. Victor thinks Brad is stalling and refuses to be kept out of her life much longer. Victor wonders why Jabot's board hasn't come to him to negotiate.

Mac is pleasantly surprised when Daniel reveals he is staying in Genoa City and credits her for the change of plans. When Daniel suggests they celebrate with a bottle of wine, Mac becomes upset and tells him about Kay's alcoholism.

AMC Ryan is cautious about believing Kendall's claim that she's a changed woman. She finally gets him to believe that she truly has, and they share a hot and heavy kiss.

He pulls back when it gets to steamy, saying he can't and won't break his commitment to Greenlee.
Babe hurries home to check on Bess's condition after David chastises her for staying out all night when she has a baby at home who needs her. David informs Krystal that he not only knows she tampered with Bess's paternity test, but that he has proof that Bess is actually Bianca's child. At the same time, JR is unnerved when Stuart accuses him of being evil and corrupt, just like Adam.

Danielle lets it slip that the reason she's still in Pine Valley is because her mother wants nothing to do with her anymore. Although he at first rejects her as a friend, Reggie quickly softens to her plight. Meanwhile, Maggie confesses to Bianca that she thinks she's falling in love with her.

B&B Ridge tells Rick that it would mean a lot to him to be a family again. Rick then agrees to come back to work with Ridge at Forrester.

Jackie tells Deacon she is going to tell Nick the truth about the baby but Deacon tells her it will be a mistake.

Brooke tells Nick that she and Ridge want Nick in the baby's life. Later, Jackie finds Nick at his boat and tries to tell Nick the truth about the baby's paternity.

Ridge's attempt to give Brooke a sensual evening in her bedroom is thwarted when Brooke goes into labor.

GH Carly gives Sonny CPR, which saves his life. Jason makes contact with her and learns for the first time that a hired assassin shot Sonny.

At GH, Nico, the hit man with a tie to Sam, finds out that Sonny survived the shooting and prepares to stab Jason with a filled syringe.
Elizabeth introduces her baby son, Cameron, to Ric and Alexis. She can tell right away that nothing has changed with Ric and that he's still obsessed with Sonny. She warns Alexis that Ric must be using her to somehow further his vendetta against his older brother.

Crushed by the realization that her time with Nikolas appears to be coming to an end, Mary tries to kill herself by jumping into the river. After she is saved, a guilt-ridden Nikolas vows to end his efforts to regain his memory, which a heartbroken Emily overhears. Meanwhile, Jax and Courtney's flirting shifts into high gear, giving Jax good reason to believe he is close to winning his bet.

OLTL Kevin alerts Nora that he has proof in hand that Todd stole confidential corporate documents from Buchanan Enterprises.

Nora takes it a step further by ordering a search warrant for Todd's office and home. The police later show up to arrest Todd, putting an immediate end to his and Blair's newfound happiness.
Lindsay makes it clear to Jen that she has washed her romantic hands of Rex. Jen heads out to comfort Rex about losing the club, unaware that he's about to make love with Lindsay again. Meanwhile, Asa helps to instigate a reconciliation between Nigel and Roxy by paying her hefty fine for hiring the arsonist.

Natalie fibs, telling Viki she is not with Paul as assumed she was. John questions Kelly as to why Paul would blackmail her. Meanwhile, Viki arranges for a small memorial service for Ben.

PASS Liz knows that if she can bring Aunt Irma to Harmony, she can get her to tell TC everything he needs to know to dump Eve for good.

She begins to spirit the old lady away. Meanwhile, as Julian comforts Eve and holds her in his arms, TC opens the door to his wife's office.
Katherine thinks that she and Martin did the wrong thing by leaving Harmony, but Martin reminds her that they had no choice but to leave. Katherine and Martin can't deny their frustration and anger over how Alistair has hurt their children the way he has.

Antonio lashes out at Luis accusing him of brainwashing Sheridan. Meanwhile, Sheridan is tired of being pushed around and stands up to Alistair. Katherine and Martin find the mystery man and are stunned when he tells them he was expecting them.

Who's you favorite soap character? And, why?

Mine is Sharon Newman on Y&R. Because, she's been in some great story lines.

On GL I'd say It's Cassie WInslow. She's lost two husbands. But, still manages to go on. She raises all her kids and runs a hotel. Go Cassie!

Talk about one of your favorite story lines of your favorite soap. It can be from now or 20 years ago. So, let's hear it.

On GL I'd have to say the whole Annie Dutton storyline. She's one of the best villains they ever had on GL. Cynthia Watros did a great job playing Annie. Cynthia currently plays on the Drew Carey show.

On Y&R I'd have to say the whole Matt Carter storyline (the second time around). Rick Hearst was awesome. Matt pretended to be someone else. He got a job working for Nick and Sharon and tried to kill them.

I have many other favorites. But, these are at the top of my list.

I was watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" today. Normally I don't watch that show. but, I was turning the channels; and, I saw Thad Lukenbill (J.T. on Y&R) on there. His character was a jock who everyone was falling in love with. haha.

At the coffeehouse, Lily, Sierra, Cassie, and Daniel chat about their summer plans.

The girls mention that they need to volunteer for school credit and Cassie suggests volunteering at the recreation center. Shortly, J.T. arrives and the girls introduce him to Daniel. J.T. gets irritated when Daniel brings up Colleen and storms out.

At the mental hospital, Kevin freaks out at the thought of being thrown back into jail. An orderly tries to sedate him, but Kevin pretends to pass out and uses the syringe on the orderly and escapes. Meanwhile, Lauren contacts Michael and he rushes to the mental hospital.

At the loft, Bobby claims he knows who hurt Brittany and insists Raul take her out of town while he takes care of it. Alone, Bobby gives Brittany a passionate kiss just as Raul enters.

At the Newman pool, Sharon suggests going to the police about Cameron, but Nick insists on handling it. They profess their love for each and embrace. Meanwhile, at the coffeehouse, Nikki accuses Grace of being in cahoots with Cameron and mentions the dead body. Grace maintains her innocence and insists she knows nothing about a dead body. Later, Grace bursts into Cameron's hotel room announcing Michael and Nikki know everything and demands an explanation.
